Accreditation in Therapy
through Play and Creativity
Philosophy, creative practice and process
A two-year course
The teaching of Play and Creative Therapy was transformed in 2019 into a programme based on tutoring and supervision. This programme, known as ‘Accreditation’, guarantees experiential and face-to-face learning, two characteristics that form the foundation of the transmission of Play and Creative Therapy through Creative Pedagogy.
The programme remains open to psychotherapists, mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists and child psychiatrists.
The Accreditation programme spans two years and includes one monthly tutoring session and one monthly supervision session over a period of ten months each year.
Three-part teaching programme
In the teaching of Play and Creative Therapy, particular attention is always paid to the framework and the quality of collaboration with parents and partner professionals.
The training in Play and Creative Therapy undertaken by participants is delivered by a Tutor-Supervisor, ideally from their region.
Tutoring and supervision take place in the Tutor-Supervisor’s practice-workshop.
The Practice-Workshop: the cornerstone of this approach
The practice-workshop:
• is the sole cornerstone of this approach to psychotherapy
• is divided into several separate areas
• offers creative media such as clay, sand, water, paint, etc.
• allows patients to choose non-verbal expression and physical movement

Taken together, the three components of the teaching provide a solid foundation
Taken together, the three components of the teaching programme—tutorials, creative supervision, home-based practice, readings and the personal creative process—provide a solid foundation.
This teaching method therefore allows us to address the specific needs and interests of each participant whilst maintaining a common core of content and the specific characteristics of this approach.
Throughout the course, participants will creatively weave together their understanding of the key concepts necessary for relational creativity— Play Therapy and Creativity—into their creative practice and, above all, into their sense of being and creative openness.
