Play is my way of being!
Play is my way of being, just as it is for all children who enjoy life.
It’s part of my growth, of my very development!
It means I’m much healthier and happier than if I lived without playing!
Playing means exploring, questioning, imagining, communicating and integrating all my experiences. It helps me understand and question myself even more.
It’s a way of talking to myself, solving problems, and trying things out.
Playing is my way of learning to think and reflect on life for when I’m older.
Today, it’s a way of telling stories to myself and others and trying out their stories (including what adults say).
Playing is a way of feeling free, having fun, and moving from one thing to another.
It allows me to stay open-minded and feel alive.
If I don’t play, or play very little, I withdraw into myself; I don’t open up to the world. I’m stuck somewhere and cut off from the world.
Playing is taking part in life: the great life that flows through us all and the small but important life that is mine, that is unique to me and that I am constantly creating.
Play is my way of being, just as it is for all children who enjoy life.
It’s part of my growth, of my very fulfilment!
